About this course

Acquire fluency in languages of choice and deep understanding of the culture and society where they are the mother tongue; as well as a proficiency to speak in professional and personal areas.

  • 2 languages are to be main and a third is optional. Core languages include French, Gaelige (Advanced only), German and Spanish. The option for third is open to all with the addition of Japanese.

Spend some time with cooperative education divided between the motherland of the languages (e.g. France/Spain) and external academic placement in the secondary learned language.

Throughout the course, gain insight into historical, political, economic and cultural circumstances that have formed the societies where your chosen languages are main, while still gaining the highest level of fluency to the extent of interpretation and translation through media like music and movies.

As a career, the option of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, or Technical Communication is available.
