About Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL)

Established in 1998, Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) is the primary focus for tertiary education activities of Kumpulan Ikram. This group aims at moulding graduates with high potential and skills in the aspects of technology, communication, and managerial skills, and to practice positive morals in meeting the challenges of the working industry and unpredictable currents of the economy.

Being a secondary hand of Protasco Berhad that is directly involved in the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia, IUKL is fully dedicated to embedding invaluable values, knowledge, and skills to future leaders and individuals who can create positive changes for the next generation. This powerful sense of commitment has allowed this institution to ensure that their students become respectable and fully-qualified practitioners in their respective field. 

IUKL is primed to ensure the quality of their students’ learning experience in their institution remains satisfactory, such as their advanced academic facilities and skilled lecturers who are industry practitioners. IUKL is meticulous in intensifying the quality of their courses in the fields of Engineering, Business, Communication, Language Studies, Architecture, Biotechnology, Information Technology, and others.

IUKL's lush 100-acre (0.40 km2) campus is nestled in the vicinity of Kajang town, which is located conveniently between Kuala Lumpur, the commercial capital of Malaysia, and Putrajaya, the administrative capital.

The campus is easily accessible via the North- South Highway (or Seremban Highway) and is only a 35-minute drive from Kuala Lumpur city centre. Students can also make their way to IUKL via KTM Komuter service to Serdang Station and then get on to IKRAM/IUKL feeder bus service.

Public Transportation : KTM

  • To visit IUKL using KTM commuter, students can go to any KTM commuter station and then head towards Serdang Station. There will be connecting IUKL shuttle buses between Serdang station and IUKL.

Public Transportation : LRT

  • To visit IUKL using LRT commuter, students can go to any LRT commuter station and then head towards Sungai Besi Station. IUKL shuttle buses between Sungai Besi Station and IUKL are provided.


IUKL provides accommodation placement services to all students who receive an academic offer. There are several accommodation options for the students to consider and the emphasis here is on the students' comfort and convenience. Staying on the campus grounds, within walking distance from the classrooms and other amenities, is a plus factor for students.

There are two blocks of hostel rooms available at IUKL ranging from single to quad sharing on a 'first come, first served' basis. The hostels are 'just a two (2) minute stroll away' from the IUKL academic blocks, cafeteria and other campus amenities. Each room is furnished with beds and mattresses, wardrobes, a fan, study desks and chairs, book racks and curtains.

IUKL hostels provides a 24-hour security service. Wardens regularly patrol the campus grounds to ensure the safety of students. Students may also take advantage of the facilities like the laundry service, cafeterias, and a mini mart, which are located conveniently on the campus grounds. To ensure a high level of cleanliness, the hostel compounds are well maintained. Students are free to leave the campus grounds at anytime when they have no classes, but must be back before 11 pm. For safety reasons, students are encouraged to abide by the campus rules and regulations, at all times.

Apart from the hostel accommodation services, Ikram Lodge is another choice for students' accommodation, It is situated just five (5) minutes walk from IUKL academic blocks. Vacancies are on first-come-first-served basis. Each room at the Ikram Lodge is fully furnished and comes with attached bathroom with heater, television, refrigerator, study table and chair. Monthly rental for per student is RM400 per month on a twin-sharing basis.

Apart from the hostels and Ikram Lodge, IUKL also provides condominium accommodation services, which is located at the Unipark Suria Condominiums. Students can either rent rooms or rent the whole condominium unit and share amongst their friends. Unipark Suria Condominiums are within walking distance from the academic blocks and other campus amenities. All residents have access to the recreational facilities like the swimming & wading pools, tennis court and gymnasium. The condominium is also protected by a 24-hour gated and guarded security.
