Campus

The University of Ontario Institute of Technology has two main campuses:

  • Downtown Oshawa: Now more than 1,900 students and staff attend class and work in downtown Oshawa. UOIT’s footprint includes Bordessa Hall, 11 Simcoe Street North, 2 Simcoe Street South, 61 Charles Street, the Regent Theatre at 50 King Street East and the UOIT-Baagwating Indigenous Student Centre (UBISC) at 151 Athol Street East.
  • North Oshawa: Within them students attend classes in state-of-the-art learning facilities where they are immersed in a leading-edge, technology-rich learning environment that allows them to connect with their professors and peers at any time from anywhere - putting them at least one step ahead when they graduate.

Downtown Oshawa:
UOIT also has a significant presence in downtown Oshawa. In 2008 the Faculty of Education was warmly received downtown when it moved to a refurbished building at 11 Simcoe Street North. In September 2010 the Faculty of Social Science and Humanities moved into Bordessa Hall, a new five-storey building at 55 Bond Street East.

North Oshawa:
UOIT's buildings on the north Oshawa campus set it apart. Designers incorporated a number of environmentally-advanced features into the buildings including green roofs, coated windows and a geothermal heating and cooling system.
